Google trialing new PLA (aka Shopping Ad formats)

Never has it been so important for retailers to stay abreast of the changes in the retail landscape.  Google's latest Shopping Ad format combines the format of a Knowledge Panel with the more familar Shopping Ads (PLA).

These are the biggest ads seen on Google to-date, dominating the search results.  So how is this going to affect those retailers who rely more heavily on more traditional PPC?

These ad formats are not yet available to all advertisers but given the content of the ad formats, changes may be required to the product data feeds used to power current shopping ad activity.
